History

Lentz & Andres Insurance Agency, Inc. was created when two well established local agencies made the decision to merge. Lentz Insurance Agency was founded by Ervin Lentz in April 1961 with business conducted from his residence. In 1991, the office was moved to Reedsburg and at the same time, the agency ownership was transferred to Ervin's son, Kurt. Western Insurance Services in Reedsburg originated as a branch office of Western Insurance in Sparta, Wisconsin. Mag started her insurance career with the Reedsburg office in June 1986 and purchased the Reedsburg branch in October 1992. Kurt and Mag opened under the new name on January 1st, 2004 and combined the two agencies into one with a broader spectrum of companies and services to offer.

As times change, so do insurance agency operations. Kurt and Mag's decision to merge will have ongoing benefits for their clientele. The office is considered a full lines agency offering home, auto, farm, mobile home, motorcycle, ATV, boat, health, life, disability, IRA's, annuities and commercial insurance. Kurt and Mag and their staff are dedicated to providing long term, personalized service to the community.
